Chi Iota is the Burlington County College Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. If you would like to learn more about Phi Theta Kappa, visit their international website at ptk.org.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to participate, you must have the following:
- 3.5 GPA Minimum
- 12 college level credits completed at Burlington County College
- No grades of D or F ever, even if you have retaken the course
- No outstanding X or I grades
Students are invited to join each Fall or Spring semester that they are eligible. If you have met the eligibility requirements but have not received a letter, please email us at .
Points System
Chi Iota has established a points system to encourage participation. We understand that juggling time for classes, jobs, and other responsibilities can be very chaotic at times. We are offering two options that will allow you to obtain your stole and tassel for graduation. Stoles and tassels are sold and can be bought throughout the year, during inductions, and at graduation practice. However, by donating your time for various events or fundraising efforts, you can now earn your stole and tassel: 10 points for a tassel, 20 points for a stole, 10 points a Chi Iota t-shirt.
You can earn one point for every chapter meeting you attend and two points for every chapter event in which you participate.
